Key Responsibilities
- Serve in a lead capacity overseeing day-to-day operations and clinical oversight of a 24/7/365 behavioral health helpline, providing real-time access to live crisis support and behavioral health services.
- Maintain expert knowledge of telephonic crisis intervention, including suicide risk assessment aligned with national standards, evaluation of danger to self or others, and real-time coordination of crisis response based on triage and disposition.
- Assist Helpline Specialists with telephone inquiries to ensure safe, efficient, and timely triage of callers presenting with behavioral health or substance use concerns, directing individuals to the appropriate level of care and resources.
- Oversee training for new staff, implement new procedures, and lead continuous process improvement efforts through auditing of standard work practices.
- Serve as a liaison between teams and departments to promote collaboration, consistency, and operational efficiency in alignment with leadership directives.
- Function as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, providing emergency services as required and offering guidance and professional development support to team members.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related mental health field required.
- Active LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC licensure required; must be able to bill independently for services rendered.
- Training and demonstrated competency in the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) required upon hire.
- 3–5 years of experience as a licensed clinical therapist required.
- All licensure and certifications must be maintained as current throughout employment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with intake registration and scheduling operations, including benefit verification, authorizations, obtaining demographic information, and triaging incoming phone inquiries.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
