Registered Nurse – ICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit)

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (0700–1930 / 1900–0730) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Medical ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, adjusting to 1:1 for higher acuity patients
• Titrate a wide range of ICU drips including propofol, precedex, vasopressors, and other critical care infusions
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythm strips independently for assigned patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pulmonologists, residents, and respiratory therapy staff available 24/7
• Manage patients with diagnoses including respiratory failure, stroke, neurological conditions, GI disorders, and cardiac conditions
• Float to like units or serve as a patient observer within the facility as needed per agency float policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records system
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing advanced respiratory equipment including mechanical ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, vapotherm, tracheostomies, and nitric oxide delivery
• Familiarity with self-scheduling environments and flexibility with weekend and holiday rotation requirements
