Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care in a free-standing ED setting, fulfilling both RN and respiratory therapy/pharmacy support roles in the absence of on-site RT or pharmacy staff
- Perform and assist with advanced procedures including Procedure Sedation, Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI), cardioversion/defibrillation, and breathing treatments
- Manage vascular access devices including Port-A-Cath, PICC lines, Triple Lumen Catheters, and Rapid Infusers
- Provide tracheostomy care and feeding tube management
- Operate syringe pumps and assist with drain management
- Care for a patient population that includes approximately 15% pediatric patients across a 24-bed department
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Active RN license; compact license accepted
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Demonstrated experience with trach care, cardioversion/defibrillation, breathing treatments, feeding tube management, PICC lines, and rapid infusers
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (references may include Charge RNs or Lead staff)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Comfort working in a free-standing ED environment with expanded scope of responsibilities
