Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8 Hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) | Weekday call required every other week (5:00 PM – 10:00 PM) | 1 weekend every 12 weeks (subject to change based on need)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients presenting with diagnoses including diabetes, cancer, peripheral vascular disease, carotid stenosis, hemorrhage, aneurysm, and end-stage renal disease
- Perform prep and recovery of patients undergoing interventional radiology, neuroendovascular, and diagnostic procedures
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation during special procedures
- Support PACU recovery as well as CT, MRI, and ultrasound imaging procedures
- Utilize Pyxis medication management system for safe medication administration
- Float to other units and campuses as needed based on census, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Radiology nursing experience (first-time travelers not accepted at this time)
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with moderate sedation in an interventional or procedural setting
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- Experience in PACU recovery or multi-modality imaging environments (CT, MRI, US)
