Key Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners and perform CT procedures in accordance with department policies and procedures.

• Work alongside physicians to perform a variety of specialized CT procedures.

• Set up and adjust equipment to perform diagnostic procedures and position patients to obtain images of the area of interest, while respecting patient ability and comfort.

• Obtain appropriate patient information for each procedure being completed.

• Provide radiation protection to patients, technologists, and others in the area utilizing PPE and applicable guidelines.

• Recognize emergent situations and activate appropriate assistance as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program.

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• Licensed with the Indiana State Board of Health.

• Current CPR Certification.

• Ability to operate within the Standards of Ethics of the ARRT and the Clinical Practice Standards established by the ASRT.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CT-specific ARRT certification is strongly encouraged.

• Previous experience in CT or a similar radiologic technology role.
