Registered Nurse – LTAC (Travel Contract)

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 6:00 AM – 6:15 PM | 8-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and clinical judgment in the anticipation and planning for safe patient care delivery
• Manage and monitor patients requiring ventilator and tracheostomy care, central line management, and telemetry monitoring
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and professional development

Required Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license or multi-state compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; 2–5 years preferred
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Demonstrated experience with ventilator and tracheostomy management
• Knowledge of central line care and management
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:6

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with wound care assessment and management
• Prior travel nursing experience in an LTAC or telemetry setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems used in long-term acute care environments
