Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts | Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) required | Holiday rotation included
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit with a focus on neuro telemetry, including patients with CVA/TIA, subdural conditions, and seizure disorders
- Deliver post-operative care for surgical oncology patients recovering from procedures such as Whipple surgeries, esophagectomies, and colon resections (no chemotherapy administration)
- Care for vascular surgery patients post-peripheral angiogram, including those with PAD-related wounds and status-post amputations
- Float to general Medical/Surgical unit as needed
- Participate in assigned holiday rotation, including one minor and one major holiday per contract period
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
- Travel nursing experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Specialized experience in neuro telemetry nursing
- Background in surgical oncology or vascular surgery post-operative care
- Experience with telemetry management; reference from a Telemetry manager within the past year preferred
