Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Monitor and assess patients on telemetry with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6
• Participate in on-call coverage as required by the facility
• Float within service line scope to meet facility staffing needs
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Fulfill every-other-weekend scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license – Illinois license in hand required at time of submittal; compact license must match permanent residence state
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry or Intermediate Care nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required by compliance deadline
• Ability to meet facility compliance requirements within the required timeframe prior to start date
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Epic charting system
• Experience working as a travel nurse in an acute care environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and intermediate care patient populations
