Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care support within a high-volume Emergency Department, including triage, cardiac monitoring unit, and internal processing areas
• Read and interpret telemetry monitors in accordance with department standards
• Operate and maintain unit equipment including infusion pumps and patient monitoring systems
• Document patient information accurately using an electronic health record system
• Update patient communication boards and ensure patients are informed throughout their visit in alignment with patient experience standards
• Float to all sections within the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an EMT, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
• Prior experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
• Active ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to pass a telemetry competency exam
• Availability to work every other weekend; must meet flexible scheduling needs of the department

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with HCA-affiliated facilities
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic documentation system
• Experience with AIDET communication framework and patient experience best practices
