Patient Care Assistant / Technician – Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift – 8 Hours (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assistance under the supervision of licensed nursing staff across assigned units
• Float to Medical/Surgical units, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Emergency Room as needed
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including mobility, hygiene, and comfort measures
• Support clinical staff with patient care tasks and unit operations in a fast-paced hospital environment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Patient Care Technician
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Ability and willingness to float to Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Room units
• Availability to work every other weekend and assigned holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Technician
• Prior experience working across multiple clinical settings including ICU or Emergency Room environments
