Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a cardiovascular-focused ICU setting, including pre- and post-cardiac surgery and cardiac catheterization/intervention patients
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure with appropriate clinical interventions
• Manage and monitor advanced hemodynamic devices including Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, Pulmonary Artery/Swan-Ganz lines, LVAD/RVAD, and CVVHD/CRRT
• Perform comprehensive IV therapy including arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, and port access
• Float to sister ICU units as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Cardiovascular ICU experience
• Active Illinois RN License
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Must submit a passing EKG test score of 80% or higher at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ECMO management
• Experience managing the care of LVAD patients
• Charge nurse experience
