Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00–16:30) | Post-Shift On-Call Required (18:00–21:00, frequency varies)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia care to patients in an outpatient surgery center setting
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from ophthalmic and other surgical procedures
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 throughout the post-anesthesia recovery process
• Participate in post-shift on-call coverage as required by departmental need
• Accurately document patient care using the facility's electronic health record system
• Float between facilities within the state as operationally required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of PACU experience required (first-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 5 years of PACU experience)
• Phase I and Phase II PACU experience required
• Ophthalmology experience required
• Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong ophthalmology background with demonstrated clinical proficiency in an outpatient surgical environment
• Experience working in an outpatient or ambulatory surgery center setting
• Familiarity with Meditech charting systems
