Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) II

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing and analysis within a freestanding emergency department setting
• Accurately process and report laboratory results in support of patient care decisions
• Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation and charting
• Maintain compliance with laboratory standards, safety protocols, and quality control procedures
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical laboratory experience
• Valid national certification through ASCP (MLT or MLS) or AMT (MLT or MLS)
• State licensure is not required for this position
• Must not have prior permanent or PRN employment at this facility within the past year
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BLS certification preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Familiarity with emergency department laboratory workflows
