Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 4x12-hour shifts | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients, with a primary focus on high-risk cases
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 throughout assigned shifts
- Assist with delivery and perform infant catch and transition care following delivery
- Float to sister units as needed to support facility staffing requirements
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience; first-time travelers not accepted
- Demonstrated ability to catch and transition infants after delivery
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
- Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- LDRP experience strongly preferred
- STABLE certification preferred
- 2 or more years of experience in a high-risk Labor and Delivery setting
