Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT exams and procedures as requested by medical staff, using knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Operate CT scanner, modify technical settings, and adjust scanning parameters to enhance image quality and minimize unnecessary patient exposure
- Assist radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures
- Complete all required documentation for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams and procedures
- Retrieve written orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of exams
- Perform routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on scanner per manufacturer guidelines and organizational policies
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
- Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- ARRT CT registry eligible
- American Heart Association BLS certification required within 60 days of hire
- Minimum of two (2) years of radiology experience as a registered technologist
Preferred Experience / Skills
- One (1) or more years of post-graduation experience with trauma radiology
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
