Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to high-acuity ICU patients, including post-cardiothoracic surgery recovery and patients with multiple comorbidities.
• Monitor and manage critical devices such as Impella, Balloon Pump, Artic Sun, and CRRT systems.
• Administer medications and treatments per established protocols, observing for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess ongoing learning needs and educate patients and their families about care plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure safety.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Texas or a compact state.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
• ACLS (American Heart Association) certification.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in critical care or ICU settings.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with post-cardiothoracic surgery recovery.
• Familiarity with ICU-critical devices such as Impella, Ballon Pump, Artic Sun, and CRRT.
• Previous use of electronic medical records, preferably Epic.
