Contract | Night Shift (4x12 Hours, 18:45–07:15) | Onsite | 13–26 Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neurology unit with a focus on general medicine and neurological diagnoses
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, delivering safe, team-oriented care
• Utilize facility systems including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication administration, documentation, and communication
• Float to other units as required, with travelers floating first per unit policy
• Fulfill weekend shift requirements, including approximately every other weekend
• Be available to serve on a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and report to work during declared catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Commitment to a teamwork approach to patient care with a strong focus on patient safety
• Willingness to complete required non-billable orientation modules (approximately 2–10 hours) and a 24-hour unit orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale certification or experience
• Prior neurology nursing experience
• Experience in or willingness to learn the charge nurse role
