Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Acute Leukemia & Hematology)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients primarily diagnosed with acute leukemia and hematologic conditions
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmias, escalating via Rapid Response Teams as appropriate
- Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IV lines, and perform phlebotomy including central line blood draws
- Administer blood products and manage IV therapy in accordance with unit protocols
- Implement and maintain strict infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
- Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Valid RN license (compact or state license in hand at time of submission)
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and feeding tube care and management
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification (not required)
- NIHSS certification
- Prior experience in a hematology or oncology nursing setting
