Medical Technologist / Clinical Lab Scientist

Contract | Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Varies) | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing within a high-volume hospital laboratory setting
• Operate and maintain Sysmex and CellaVision instrumentation
• Accurately perform and interpret manual differentials, including work supporting large neonatal units
• Manage complex and challenging specimens including turbid samples, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings
• Document and process results using Cerner electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active certification from ASCP, AMT, or AAB as a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Clinical Lab Scientist (Medical Lab Technician credentials will not be considered)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in specialty
• Proficiency with Cerner
• Hands-on experience with Sysmex and CellaVision systems
• Demonstrated competency performing accurate manual differentials

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a large hospital laboratory environment (600+ beds)
• Familiarity with neonatal laboratory support and associated specimen considerations
• Experience managing complex sample types including turbid specimens and abnormal cell findings
