Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM | One to two weeknights of call; every fourth weekend call required
Key Responsibilities
- Verify package integrity and expiration dates on all sterile supplies; prepare patient and equipment using sterile technique and process equipment/supplies for sterilization following procedures.
- Monitor and record all procedural data and maintain procedural event logs.
- Provide patient comfort by familiarizing patients with equipment and supplies; apply necessary monitors and prepare access site(s) including sterile drapes.
- Scrub into procedures utilizing sterile and aseptic technique as required for infection prevention.
- Advocate for radiation safety and protection for self and coworkers; wear personal radiation dosimeter and take necessary precautions to limit and minimize patient and staff exposure.
- Document fluoroscopy time and radiation doses; evaluate reports to determine if values are within established safety limits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiology program (education verification required).
- ARRT Registration.
- Wisconsin State Radiology Technologist License.
- Cardiovascular Technologist Registration.
- BLS Certification.
- ACLS Certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology procedures.
- Familiarity with TAVR and Left Atrial Appendage Closure procedures.
