Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg Oncology unit within a short-term acute care facility
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for oncology and medical-surgical patients
- Accurately document patient information and care activities using EPIC electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status during night shift hours
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Oncology nursing experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to complete required compliance modules prior to start and annually thereafter
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required during compliance process
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred
- 3 or more years of Med Surg nursing experience preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system
