Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Float across multiple units including pulmonary care, ventilator care, subacute rehabilitation, long-term care, and memory care units
- Assess patient status and implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms and improve outcomes
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on each resident's needs, routines, likes, and dislikes
- Provide care for patients with complex and chronic conditions including post-operative, post-stroke, post-cardiac, wound care, dementia, diabetes, and chronic respiratory needs
- Monitor and respond to ventilator alarms and provide care for ventilator-dependent and chronic trach patients
- Deliver care within a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong organizational and clinical skills across varying acuity levels
Required Qualifications
- Active LPN / LVN license – valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
- Minimum one (1) year of LPN / LVN experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Ability to float within the facility across multiple units within scope of practice
- Must be available to work every other weekend and every other qualifying holiday
- Must be able to attend all required orientation days (Tuesday–Friday, day shift)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in long-term care, subacute rehabilitation, pulmonary care, or ventilator units
- Experience caring for ventilator-dependent patients and chronic trach patients
- Familiarity with memory care and dementia patient populations
