Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a dedicated Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting with targeted patient ratios of 1:2
• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry, drips, and mechanical ventilators
• Perform and interpret EKG/dysrhythmia strips and manage arterial lines, sheaths, and dialysis
• Draw and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and administer vasoactive drips as indicated
• Float within specialty clusters to medically appropriate assignments or in a nursing support role as directed
• Complete required orientation modules and maintain compliance with all unit and facility requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required
• Active RN license in any U.S. state; Ohio temporary license acceptable (compact license also accepted; no past license actions accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips; must pass an online EKG/dysrhythmia competency assessment prior to assignment start
• Experience with A-lines, mechanical ventilators, vasoactive drips, sheaths, dialysis, and ABG draws
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level 1 Trauma center experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
