Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum periods
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using continuous electronic fetal monitoring and clinical assessment
- Assist with and support vaginal and cesarean deliveries in collaboration with the obstetric care team
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxytocin per physician orders and unit protocols
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient handoffs and continuity of care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Compliance with all travel contract and facility onboarding requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Experience with high-risk obstetric patients
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
