Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | 8-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department and/or Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) setting with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Perform and assist with advanced procedures including intubation, chest tube insertion, and central line placement
- Collaborate within a team nursing model alongside paramedics, EMTs, and dedicated unit secretaries
- Accurately document all patient care activities using the Epic electronic health records system
- Float between the main Emergency Department and affiliated FSEDs as needed per unit policy
- Meet weekend scheduling requirements of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Current PALS certification
- TNCC or ENPC certification
- CPI certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume Emergency Department with both adult and pediatric patients
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health records documentation system
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic clinical environment
