Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) | Onsite | Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 schedule or 40 hours for 8/10 schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Participate in cardiac on-call rotation, averaging a minimum of 6 call shifts per month (approximately 2–3 days per week), including weekday and 24-hour weekend shifts
• Perform other OR cases as needed when CVOR cases are not scheduled
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
• Complete required pre-start and annual modules in a timely manner via designated tracking system; modules are non-billable and average 6–15 hours
• Adhere to facility compliance standards, including a strict do-not-call policy and nicotine-free requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of RN experience required; 2 years of direct CVOR experience strongly preferred and required per position specifications
• Active RN license (pending license accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required at time of submission
• ACLS certification required at time of submission
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date
• Must pass EKG and Pharmacology tests during orientation (2 attempts maximum; no remediation; travelers may be cancelled for failure)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 years of direct CVOR experience
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Prior experience in a short-term acute care or teaching facility environment
