Part-Time Contract | Days | 3x8-Hour Shifts (8:00–17:00) | Typical days Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday | No weekend or on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in a variety of surgical procedures across ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedic, and Podiatry service lines within an ambulatory surgery center setting
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and adhere to universal protocol, including time-out procedures, sharps safety, and isolation precautions
• Prepare, organize, and manage case carts, surgical instrumentation, and specialty equipment including drills, electrosurgical units, and fiber optic systems
• Ensure proper care, handling, and processing of scopes and fiber optic equipment
• Perform accurate specimen handling and labeling in accordance with facility protocols
• Uphold fire, laser, and radiation safety standards throughout all surgical procedures

Required Qualifications

• Active CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a general OR setting
• Proficiency in ENT procedures including tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy, mastoidectomy, endoscopic sinus procedures, and radical neck dissection
• Experience with orthopedic procedures including total joint replacements, ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, and fracture reduction
• Competency in general surgery procedures including laparoscopic-assisted cases and hernia repair
• Knowledge of podiatric procedures including bunionectomy, ankle fusion, and metatarsal surgery

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) setting strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system preferred
• Familiarity with cast application, removal, and crutch fitting/education in an orthopedic context
