Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM weekdays; 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM every 3rd weekend)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sterile processing functions within a Surgical Services department at a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment
- Maintain compliance with sterile processing standards and facility protocols
- Document and chart accurately using Epic electronic health record system
- Participate in weekend rotation approximately every 3rd weekend
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of travel experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
- Valid sterile processing certification or applicable allied health credential
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Ability to work a rotating weekend schedule (approximately every 3rd weekend)
- Experienced travelers only — no new-to-travel candidates considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a trauma center or acute care hospital setting
- Familiarity with Surgical Services department workflows and instrument management
