Contract | Days (5x8 Hours, 8:00–16:30) | Monday–Friday plus one weekend day per month | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients across all acuity levels including ICU and progressive care units presenting with diagnoses such as CABG and other cardiac procedures, stroke, TBI, joint replacement, fracture repairs, respiratory illnesses, dementia, MS, and Parkinson's disease
- Develop and implement individualized Plans of Care (POC) incorporating ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and therapeutic activities to improve patient function
- Assess and make daily recommendations regarding appropriateness of discharge disposition
- Collaborate as part of an inpatient acute care rehabilitation team
- Document patient care and progress using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience in an acute hospital setting
- Active Indiana state OT license (must be in hand prior to start date)
- NBCOT certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
- Background working with high-acuity patient populations including ICU-level care
