Contract | Evening Shift | 5x8 or 4x10 hours (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM or 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM) | Rotating weekends required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterile processing functions within a surgical services department at an acute care hospital
• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with established protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting using Mediteach
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards throughout all sterile processing procedures
• Rotate across shifts and weekends as needed to meet unit demands

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing experience required
• Valid California state license or certification must be in hand prior to start
• LA fire card obtained within the last 30 days required
• Must be available for rotating weekend shifts, which may increase based on unit needs
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• Must disclose any license or background hits at time of submission; no open license hits will be approved

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a surgical services department within an acute care hospital setting
• Familiarity with Mediteach charting system
• Experience with high-volume instrument processing environments
