Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Days / Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day Shift: 7:00–19:30 | Night Shift: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit, including continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration
• Support patients admitted for soft tissue malignancy receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management
• Manage symptoms secondary to disease-related treatment or progression, as well as comorbidities
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Operate specialized unit equipment including GE telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or state-specific) required at time of submission
• Active BCLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation, port access, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, IV insertion, chest tube insertion/removal assistance, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and ABG interpretation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
