Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients on a mixed-acuity Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit, including PCU and Medical-Surgical patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac dysrhythmias, escalating via Rapid Response Teams as appropriate
- Administer blood products and manage central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral lines including blood draws
- Support patients undergoing autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants as well as CAR-T therapy
- Perform feeding tube care and management and administer supplemental oxygen via nasal cannula
- Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical and Oncology nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and vascular access management
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Hematology/Oncology (Heme Onc) nursing experience strongly preferred
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification
