Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Required
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and perform dialysis treatments on patients, including hemodialysis, bedside dialysis, and peritoneal dialysis
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 (RN to patient) or 1:3 (RN and CCHT to patient)
- Operate Fresenius and Gambro dialysis machines; training provided for those unfamiliar with equipment
- Float to other units and hospital campuses as needed
- Participate in on-call coverage for after-hours and designated call days
- Document patient care accurately and legibly within the facility EMR system (Meditech)
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a valid compact license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- NURSYS verification required
- Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 recent year of dialysis-specific experience
- Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Professional Nursing Certification in a relevant specialty
- Prior experience with Fresenius or Gambro dialysis equipment
- Experience with Meditech EMR
