Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 4 Days x 10 Hours/Day | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the catheterization laboratory and ensure appropriate equipment, supplies, and room configuration are in place for all assigned procedures.
- Operate cath lab equipment including fluoroscopy imaging, digital image acquisition, hemodynamic systems, contrast injectors, intra-aortic balloon pump, IVUS, ICE, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, and left ventricular assist devices.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information, hemodynamic measurements, and ECG recognition throughout procedures.
- Maintain strict aseptic technique 100% of the time during procedures and serve as the radiation safety representative for patients and team members during X-ray use.
- Collaborate with the procedure team and Cath Lab Lead/Coordinator to support patient safety, proper patient positioning, and departmental efficiency.
- Support access site management, patient transport, daily room checks, and supply stocking as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Electrophysiology (EP) experience is required.
- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology, an associate's degree in a healthcare-related field, or acceptable equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association only).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (American Heart Association only).
- State licensure required: Texas MRT or LMRT issued by the Texas Medical Board.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
- One of the following certifications preferred: RCIS, RCES, or RCS by CCI; Radiography (R), CI, CV, or VI by ARRT; AB or OB/GYN RDMS by ARDMS; AE RDCS by ARDMS; or RVT by ARDMS.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (American Heart Association) preferred for those working at pediatric facilities.
