Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and open heart surgical procedures
- Assist the surgical team during CVOR cases including open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology procedures
- Perform scrub and/or circulating duties within the cardiovascular operating room as assigned
- Monitor and document patient status throughout the intraoperative phase, ensuring patient safety and quality of care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to support efficient and effective case management
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of CVOR nursing experience
- Experience in cardiovascular or open heart surgical settings
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to fulfill travel contract requirements for a 13-week assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level II trauma center or large acute care hospital environment
- Familiarity with electrophysiology and interventional cardiology procedures
- Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiovascular surgical setting
