Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit setting, managing high-acuity patients requiring close monitoring and intervention
• Perform and manage CRRT, BiPAP, chest tubes, and PICC lines independently without a vascular access team
• Draw own labs, call on own consults, and independently conduct codes
• Provide post-open heart surgical care including management of pacer wires from day one
• Float as needed to ICU and inpatient units including Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and the Emergency Department
• Document and manage patient care using the EPIC electronic medical records system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Critical Care or Intensive Care Unit
• Demonstrated experience with CRRT, BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, pacer wires, and open heart care
• Comfortable independently conducting codes and calling consults
• Active Kansas RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Prior experience in ED, Med/Surg, Med/Tele, or Acute/Tele required for floating eligibility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity stepdown or IMC environment
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR platform
• Strong autonomy in clinical decision-making and patient management
