CVOR Technician – Cardiovascular OR

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts between 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | 40 hours per week | Weekend rotation required | On-call required including holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulating roles during cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Assist surgical team throughout cardiac surgeries, ensuring proper instrumentation and technique
• Float to additional OR and sterile processing areas as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation, including one weekend per month and holiday call coverage
• Adhere to all facility policies, including nicotine-free workplace requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Previous circulating experience required
• Recent and strong scrub experience in cardiac surgeries required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Willingness to work weekends as required by rotation and take call on holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple OR environments and sterile processing departments
• Familiarity with high-acuity cardiovascular cases in a large academic or trauma center setting
