Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 4x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within a short-term acute care hospital setting
- Manage a patient assignment at ratios of 1:6 to 1:7
- Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units as required
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system
- Participate in emergency response activities as needed, including during hurricane season (June–November)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Telemetry experience
- Interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
