Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a secured corrections-based Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit serving patients with oncology and non-oncology diagnoses
• Float to various Medical-Surgical and Progressive Care (PCU) units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to cardiac and emergency events
• Administer and manage IV therapy including blood products, central lines, PICC lines, heparin protocols, and PCA
• Provide respiratory support including CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, tracheostomy management, and ABG interpretation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary support services including pharmacy, respiratory therapy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and social services

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license – compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records documentation
• Experience in Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Ability to work in a secured, access-controlled corrections unit environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience, including solid tumor and hematology patient populations
• Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Familiarity with pre/post hemodialysis care and renal failure management
