Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a mixed-acuity unit serving both Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical Surgical patients
• Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy management
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on staffing priorities
• Participate in a structured orientation program, including an initial Monday–Friday day-shift week followed by 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor
• Submit self-schedule requests within the established scheduling process each four-week period

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or state-specific) required at time of submission
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system required
• Demonstrated skills in IV starts, telemetry, and tracheostomy management
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
