Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and manage cancer symptom care in an outpatient oncology infusion setting
- Conduct health history assessments, address physician orders, and perform in-office procedures
- Provide patient and family education related to oncology treatment and care plans
- Monitor patients frequently for changes in physical condition and emotional well-being
- Serve as the primary communication liaison between patients and physicians, relaying relevant patient information and feedback
- Apply clinical knowledge, judgment, and decision-making skills to analyze and act on patient care issues in accordance with Cancer Care policies and nursing standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience
- ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to oncology nursing procedures, quality improvement objectives, and infection control standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an outpatient oncology or infusion center environment
- Experience with cancer symptom management and patient triage in an oncology setting
