Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with department protocols and physician orders
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist and physician interpretation
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients appropriately, and ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Document and maintain accurate patient records and imaging data within the facility's systems
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of imaging results
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer
- Active ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification or equivalent credential
- Proficiency in performing general and/or vascular ultrasound examinations
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a Friday through Sunday schedule
- Current BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel assignment experience in an acute-care hospital setting
- Experience with a high-volume, fast-paced radiology or imaging department
- Familiarity with multiple ultrasound modalities including abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular
