Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a combined adult and pediatric General Emergency Department setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
- Manage central line care, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
- Support respiratory management including CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patients
- Maintain isolation precautions and respond to emergency situations as required
- Fulfill charge RN assignments and holiday shifts as needed; float between ED Hold area, departments, units, and facilities as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience
- Active RN license — both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
- Ability to work 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- No pending licenses accepted; active licensure required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a STEMI-certified or Stroke-certified facility
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Arterial line management experience
- CPI and MAB certifications
