Contract (Travel) | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 36–48 Hours per Week | Onsite | Projected Start: July 20, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 4-bed Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) serving adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical conditions requiring critical care
• Perform and interpret complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring in support of post-operative recovery
• Deliver care in an 8-bed cardiac stepdown unit (CSU) focused on recovery following cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery
• Demonstrate high levels of professional competency and apply a patient-centered approach to care
• Work holidays as required and every other weekend
• Float to other units and facilities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); must be verifiable through NURSYS
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
• Current AHA NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR; solid navy scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AHA PALS certification (required if assigned to a pediatric unit)
• Experience floating across multiple units or hospital settings
