• Full-time, Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac stepdown unit patients, including post-procedure and telemetry monitoring
• Manage and monitor arterial and venous access patients, ensuring hemostasis and patient safety
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Follow clinical protocols for patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with all safety and care standards specific to cardiac and interventional radiology patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid registered nurse license in the state of North Carolina
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a cardiac, telemetry, or stepdown unit
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• Knowledge of care for arterial and venous access patients, including radial and ulnar access management
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-PCI, IR, EP, or cath lab patients
• Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and management of cardiac patients
• Familiarity with specific patient populations such as Same Day PCI patients

Additional Notes
Travel compliance is mandatory, with a full compliance file due by 12:00 noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date. Candidates must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during orientation and meet all licensing, background, and education verification requirements. Candidates should not have any planned time off that could interfere with compliance deadlines.
All nurses are expected to be flexible and prepared to float to different campuses within the health system if needed. No local candidates are accepted within a 50-mile radius.
