Key Responsibilities
- Perform study-related duties under the supervision of the Principal Investigator for complex clinical research protocols (phases 1-3 interventional trials) in accordance with GCP, ICH, and FDA guidelines.
- Screen and assess study candidates for eligibility based on inclusion/exclusion criteria, and evaluate diagnostic test results.
- Conduct informed consent discussions and review documentation with participants, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and dispense investigational medications responsibly, maintaining accurate inventory and records per sponsor guidelines and CFR standards.
- Document and report adverse events, ensuring appropriate follow-up, causal assessment, and sponsor/IRB reporting.
- Support regulatory compliance by maintaining IRB/IEC documents, certifications, and site credentials, and manage data integrity throughout the study lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license (RN) with valid state licensure in North Carolina.
- High school diploma or equivalent; ASN or BSN required.
- 2-5 years of nursing experience, with preference for oncology background.
- Valid driver’s license for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR), clinical trial data entry systems (EDC), or Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS).
- Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
