Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Evening Shift (5x8 Hours, 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM) | Monday–Friday, No On-Call
Key Responsibilities
- Perform decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment in a sterile processing department
- Ensure all instrumentation meets quality and safety standards prior to use in surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment tracking
- Follow established infection control protocols and department policies
- Support surgical services by ensuring timely turnaround of sterile instrumentation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
- Active CRCST certification (IAHCSMM/HSPA) required
- Current BLS certification required
- California license/certification must be active and in hand at time of submission
- No pending or open license hits; all background and license disclosures must be provided at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of sterile processing experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Familiarity with surgical instrument tracking systems and sterilization documentation
