Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute and post-operative care to medical-surgical and orthopedic patients.
• Monitor and manage patients with respiratory illnesses, GI conditions, cardiac issues, and post-surgical recovery.
• Administer IV medications, including Heparin and TNA drips, and monitor patient responses.
• Conduct thorough assessments, document patient progress, and ensure compliance with treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, safety procedures, and compliance standards including EKG testing.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of current telemetry and medical-surgical experience.
• BLS certification; ACLS and NIH preferred.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
• Ability to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance.
• Must have current driver's license and reliable transportation (local within 50 miles not accepted).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for acutely ill patients with chronic conditions and post-op needs.
• Familiarity with complex patient cases such as uncontrolled seizures, COVID, renal failure, and drug overdoses.
• Ability to float between different healthcare facilities and adapt to changing assignments.
