Patient Care Assistant / Technician – Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evening Shift | 8 Hours | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Coverage Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assistance across Medical/Surgical, ICU, and Emergency Room settings
• Float to various units including Med/Surg, Intensive Care, and Emergency Room as needed
• Support nursing staff with patient monitoring, personal care, and daily activities
• Accurately document patient information and interactions using EPIC electronic health records system
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage on a rotating basis

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Patient Care Technician or Assistant
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system required
• Ability and willingness to float to Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Room units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 4 or more years of experience in a patient care technician or assistant role
• Prior experience working across multiple acute care units in a hospital setting
