Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within an acute care, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated facility
• Manage PICC lines and perform IV starts as part of routine patient care
• Care for a patient population that may include trach and laryngectomy patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner electronic health records
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate locations as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard rotation schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in hand at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience
• BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)
• Demonstrated PICC line management experience and proficiency in starting IVs
• Willingness to care for trach and laryngectomy patients (experience not required, but must be willing to learn)
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of up to 1:7 when required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records
• Prior experience in an acute care or high-acuity Medical Surgical environment
